Default Old School Rumble

I know mostly everyone has some flows but Im looking for that old school sound like from Bullitt but still keeping the performance of the flows. I have 67 with a 289. For headers Im planning on putting Hooker Super Comps.

Ravins are what I see most people leaning towards nowadays. Nice idle, but a real kick in the *** at WOT.

SuperComps may be overkill for a stock setup if that is what you have. IIRC they have large primaries which will kill your low end torque and get up and go.

I don't know how to do that. Get your skinny butt out to West Texas and hear old Yeller rumble with her Ravins. Seriously, I haven't the faintest clue about how to get you a sound clip. Try searching on Midas Muffler sites to see if you can come up with one.

It sounds as if you are being too cautious in your selection of a pair of friggin mufflers. If you think the slight difference in the performance mufflers out there for purchase will make a big difference in the performance of your car, then you need some education. The performance upgrades take place well before the mufflers. If you want the typical Mustang Muscle car sound, then go with the flows. If you are looking for a more vintage sound, but still have a rumble, then go with the Ravins.
