Default Doorskinz?

Which do you prefer? To salvage the original door if you could, bondo, metal, etc. Or replace the skin. If so which aftermarket carries the best fit on them? Thanx in advance!

It depends on what is available. I cant get skins or door shells for the 71 Mustang, 65 GTO, and 67 Cougar so I have to patch the doors. When I can get skins, like for the 70-81 Trans Am/Formula, then I will go with pretty much any of them from the aftermarket. Most are stamped at the same place, so there isnt much difference despite where you buy them. Not saying they are all equal, but there are only a few companies that actually do the stamping.

Depends on the extent of the damage. I've just got some rust damage that I'm gonna cut out and patch on the original doors.

I used the skin from NPD that was Ford Tooling. It cost more but it fit perfect and the lines matched up to the car. Pretty easy to replace.
I did a write up with pictures http://chris66dad.tripod.com/id19.html
