You might want to consider someway of attaching the roll bar to the torque boxes other than welding. Once they are welded in it becomes difficult to put the interior in (headliner, moldings on either side of the rear seat, trim, etc. Just a thought.

Yup thank you we will be doing something similar. We're going to weld a plate to the torque box that will allow the roll bar to be bolted onto the plate. That way we can remove it if needed.

but ya the rust protection on these beasts is horrible, im in the proccess of grinding one quarter panel down to bare metal and replacing the other one. might need a new oil pan too
Mine ran, too...

Thank you everyone for the kind words! Hopefully I'll have some more updates sooner than later.

Some goodies have arrived and we got the car up on the rotisserie last night. We'll get started on the bottom tonight.

I see you decided to use the rear bumper holes to mount it to the rotisserie. What did you use to mount it to the front?

We mounted it to the front frame rails. I will add a picture later so you can see.

Somehow I missed this tread earlier. This is awesome I keep trying to convince my wife to let me get her one for us to work on together. She told me she'd rather just ride in the one I have when it's finished.

Great progress and love all the pics.
