Question Transmissions work

Hey all, i just bought a 66 mustang and it needs some work on the transmission. Im 15 and im going to be paying for a lot of the work that needs to be done. Does anyone know of a reputable transmission shop that wont charge me an arm and a leg to get the work i need done done?

I think we are going to need to know where you are from first, before we start suggesting places...congrats on the buy!

edit: You just posted your city, so disregard my post above...Not sure about a transmission shop as a family friend rebuilds transmissions for us, but there are alot of members I believe from the our area, I'm from LA area too

Where in LA are you? Stock or performance? In Lancaster, Mike's Racing Trans is great! HP Trans in Chatsworth is also great......

Google Jasper Engines. They do rebuilds on engines and trannys and give you a warranty. When you go to their website there's a place where you can locate a Jasper authorized shop close to you by entering your ZIP. Check them out. Just a suggestion. Good luck!!!

Give Continental Converters a call in Inglewood off Manchester and ask for a tranny shop near there. Continental makes awesome race converters!!!!!
