Paint Matching Suggestions
My car is finally in the paint booth. On Monday I need to finalize the paint color with the shop. I want to keep the car close to original (Arcadian Blue). The real problem is that there is not a direct color match (off the shelf) for multistage paint. As a result, my body shop is working with the local paint suppliers to find a match (using Dupont paints).
Has anyone else been through this step? If so, any advice on color matching? I'm worried that if I'm off too much here, my original color will become a real powder puff blue color (I know some people don't like the Arcadian blue to start with).
Cheers!

A good paint guy can get very, very, close no matter the paint system.
The colors can be matched perfectly in specific lighting conditions, but the different paint systems will respond different to different lighting conditions.
In other words, it won't matter much in most real world circumstances, but the hues will look different in different lighting.
Sorry, I can see what I am trying to say but it is not translating well to words......
