valve seals

just make sure you have the right size. and the ones you have (rubber) are quite useless I'm afraid, I'd replace them all while you're at it and get a good set.

So yes, get the good positive Viton seals.
I bought my 66 with a blown motor, after taking it apart I found pieces of the old style valve seals had jammed the oil pump snapping the drive. Still not sure how it got past the screen but it got in there.

Just one of a various number of issues with that type of seal. They haven't been used since like the 70's.....in anything. Except tractors maybe.
