Default Got her going again

I finally was able to pick up my T-5 from the rebuilder today after almost 4 weeks of not driving my car. My buddy and I threw it back in this afternoon and after a few hiccups, I took her for a spin and am very happy to finally have my baby back. She needs a bath really bad and I need to check the fuses (instrument panel lights and radio not working). I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow!
The trans shifts great and seems much easier to get into gear as the clutch even seems easier to engage. I'll post more pics when I'm done playing tomorow.

Did the rebuilder tell you what he found?
Great to hear you are back on the road!

Thats fantastic. It must have been a real drag to have it down for a month since you just got it all back together.

Yeah, somehow there was only about 1/3 the amount of fluid in it when it failed. I asked the guy I had install it originally WTF and he swore that he had filled it. I really didn't feel like pressing the issue any more, especially since I am already going to court over the bad paint job from last year, next month.
The rebuilder gave me the wholesale price and even upgraded it to Cobra specs, so I'm not too upset. I have been driving it all over while the weather still works for me. It's going back to the paint shop next week for GT stripes and emblem install now that the paint is 90 day old. Still undecided about the side scoops.

Thats cool that your getting some of the finishing touches done. I vote no for the side scoops. I like them on 67-68 fastbacks, cali specials, but not on 65-66 coupes.

Are these cars ever really "done"? LOL I am going to be replacing the under dash wiring soon and the turn signal mechanism, along with the horn contact ring, etc. My radio and my instrument panel lights crapped out the other day. I checked the fuse and it's ok, so I need to do some investigating.
I have a couple other things I want to do later on, but that will come in time. For now, I am enjoying the hell outta the car... Even when some punk Vin Diesel wannabe in his Acura talks trash to me and my daughters in traffic. My PTSD about got the best of me last night...lol
