Yeah I'm gonna decide to go with a hydraulic cam. And if i'm guess right a 351w non roller block cam will fit in a 302?

Do alot of research, some use a smaller base circle cam. So you cant use just any roller cam out there. The crane kit uses a regular cam, but $450 a set lifters.

What are your goals?
Gonna make it my street/strip car but mostly strip. high 400 low 500 hp.

What block is this? A 351 or 302 block?

302 and 351w cams will interchange.
Good luck getting that much HP. Unless you boost or spray it, it's not that easy. What heads etc?

dart 195 cc heads, scat 347 rotating assembly, edelbrock air-gap, holley 650dp, bbk equal length headers

Decent combo, but it's not going to make the HP goals you want. I'd guess about 400 at the flywheel depending on cam and compression. Before you get a cam, talk to some of the cam companies and see what they recomend for what you have.

What would you suggest for a low 500s hp 347 on pump gas?

Bitchen high dollar heads for starters. Like some TEA ported TFS TW heads, with a LIGHT rotating assembly. Custom cam, probably more like a Vic Jr intake, and at LEAST a 750cfm carb. And you'll prolly be turning 6,500rpm, maybe more.

^ What he said. Other heads would be the AFR 205-225 and the edelbrock victor jr's. And then you're looking at the limits of the stock block.

What ET's do you want to run with the car?

some ideas
