Default Rear springs?

I have a 67 coupe that originally had a straight six with auto. I swapped in a 302 and put the bigger springs in the front. The springs were out of a cougar that had a 351 in it. Now my stang sits higher in the front than the back. I was just wondering if the bigger springs are the problem or are the rears just old and starting to sag? Thanks in advance

Sounds like ya gots the saggybuttmustangitise.
As the years go by the backsides of mustangs start to sag. New rear suspension will fix er right up. Check the "where to buy parts" thread at the top of the main classic section page for where to get a new set up.

Yeah, my 65 had the saggy butt a few years ago before I replaced the rear leaf springs. It made all the difference in the world in how the old Yeller car sat. Just be aware that you MAY have some problems getting the old springs off. The front bolts tend to rust to the spring and you will need to cut the bolt off in two different places to get the old spring off. If you don't own a recip saw, now may be the time to get one. Just tell your honey that you need to overhaul your springs and you need a new tool. That ought to make her wonder.......
