Default finished the shelby drop

well I'd like to post pictures but it was very late last night, not enough light outside to take pictures. So they'll follow.

It's done for a while, but I had trouble with the car ending up too high in the front.
Reason was that I tightened the lower arm pivot while having them more or less hanging down.
I opened them, drove a few metres forward/backward. let the car sit for a week (was busy with other things).
Last night I adjusted camber/caster/toe in.
It's well away from perfect. but I decided to give it a good drive before I re-adjust as the suspension might settle another bit.
At the moment I have 3 degrees caster on both sides. left and right side have both 1 degree camber (0.5 more than it should be). It was getting late so I stopped.

the result .. . I have driven the car only up and down a pothole road, no heavy cornering. I can say the steering seems easier when driving slow (new bushings and balljoints?).
When I'm driving it feels like I have to push more to get the car to corner and have to push more to hold it there. Maybe I'll reduce caster a bit.

Anyway I said I'm going to give it a proper road test once it's bright outside (weekend)

I'm delighted it all went ok. I didn't drill any wrong holes and crap like that :-)

I run my car with 4* of caster. It definitely takes a little effort to hold it in corners, but it also seems to like those corners better, and it tracks straighter as well.

Start curling 32 ounces instead of 16, and you call yourself an irishman.

lol. actually german myself. my girlfriend brought me as a souvenier from a trip to Germany. i personally don't mind at all when driving, it just gets annoying in parking lots. but as said, need to do a proper test drive. I was driving a powersteering car for the last few weeks, so I can't remember what it actually was like

Did you mean 1/16 and 1/8 for the toe in? You would have to lift a lot of 32 oz. mugs to drive that straight down the road with 1 1/8 or tow in. Or after a lot of 32 0z. mugs it would appear to be going straight down the road but who would care.

i'm too stupid for this imperial inch stuff. i meant i should have 1/8 or 1/16, went for 1/8

I never brought the good camera, only took a few snaps with the mobile phone. Will be over at car later. i.m not sure if I can actually see the car dropped. maybe after it all settled.
