Default Question about windows

So I am almost ready to work on my doors. I have taken pictures every step of the way, and they will be posted soon to my original thread.

Anyway, I have a couple questions. I want power windows in my 67 Mustang Coupe. I realize that it wasn't original equipment. I have looked around on line and found a dealer who wants nearly $1000 for the whole set up. So, my question is this. Does anyone know if it would be possible to either use a direct different part from a different car, or maybe modify the parts from another car to make them fit and work?
Secondly, I want the car to stay safe. I hope to use it from time to time as a daily driver, and I don't want to put an alarm on it. I have read that Lexan windows are almost unbreakable. Does anyone have an opinion on using these?

OK, that's all for now. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

It depends on what you have in it right now....... Summit sells electric window kits (average is $260) for the Mustang a lot cheaper than the Mustang shops (average is $360). I would see if you have the kit on it or if someone modified it.

I have the original crank windows in there now. That's why I am asking what I can/should use instead of that.

I found the part, and I had another question which I already asked Summit. I wanted to know if it came with enough parts to do both passenger and driver door windows?

I am curious because it says "Power Window Kit, 2-Window, Front, Ford, Mercury, Mustang/Cougar, Kit"

<shrugs> I guess I will see what they say.

Thanks.
