Default trunk repair

Hey guys, just finished removing the 2 trunk floor pans on my 67, looks like the last foot of each frame rail needs to be replaced, which is ok i have the repair panels, my question is, is there a way to get the new full floor panel (with the drop downs attached) back in place, without removing the trunk floor support that is welded to the rear body of the car? If not, then how are they removed, i couldn't find any spot welds and i grinded down both sides (inside the trunk and outside on the valence panels)
just to be clear, im not replacing the entire trunk floor panel, just the 2 sides separate...
any suggestions or tips would be great.
