Default Starter replace which one is good 302 69

Hy

Need to replace my starter. I have a 1969 Mustang with 302 (now 347) with C4. My starter has 9 teeth.

I found this one here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

or this one:

http://www.eastwood.com/ford-v8-auto...w-harness.html

There is a big price difference. Is there a differnce in quality? Or would you say none of both?

Need a source for a reliable and strong starter.

Thanks for your help.

I'd by the 40 buck one. I've had an EHay PMGR unit running for 5 years

Why not get one from a local reputable parts store? O'Reilly's and Napa carry high quality, lifetime reman starters. Unlike something from fleabay, you can always take those back to where you bought them from, no matter where you are, and get a new one when the old one dies.

Stay away from AutoZone and Pep Boys rotating electrical. Much lower quality.

The other option I'd recommend would be a PowerMaster mini starter. Overkill for most cars, but I'm happy with mine and it's been running well for 5+ years.

I've had the dbelectrical starter in my fastback for about a year now. Its been going strong the entire time starting and driving the car 5 days a week.

Very easy to install and comes with a 1 year warranty and the customer service was great when I contacted them with a question.

shipping a starter cheapest option from states to austria I'd guess 90$ (usps prio international). so buying a starter for 40$ and paying shipping more than double the price ???? with duty and VAT I'd guess about 150$ total (nearly 4 times the price of the starter). If you get a starter for 100$, you'd end up with 250$, which is 100$ more, but of those hundred more 60$ go towards starter... a calculation that makes me think.
If you buy a starter of ebay and this thing does not work (we had that before with a new distributor). what are you gonna do? send it back for another 90$ and have replacement shipped for another 90$ ... not a hope ...

for a starter I'd rather look local (including ebay if in austria). You can always try realsteel.co.uk. I usually go there for any engine parts. or talk to the mustang club in austria, where they would source such parts, you might be able to save yourself a lot of money that way
