Default 1965 mustang front end -radiator support

Hi new to the fourm.
I have a 1965 mustang that I have started to work or for my wife. I just put the front inner fender apron on to compleat the fire wall and now looking at radiator support for the front. The support that I have has the lower bar in place for between the frame rails.I guess my question is there any trick when putting it on and or is there anything I need to be careful of ? Can I do anything to stiffen the front some? I wish I had another mustang around to look at but I dont so hoping you can help
thanks for your time

Humm obviously you are logged in so perhaps recently the mods have added a post count limit before you can make attachments or edits...I guess you'll have to proof read for a while...
Thats a super bummer I'm glad its not me...no one would take me serious if all they read were the unedited stuff I post...

That said this is a great place for help with these cars..While I cant provide any assistance with this issue rest assured there many folks here who im sure will provide just the help you need almost directly.

happy hunting.

Its really pretty straight forward and easy. I might look a little weird because on the battery apron side it hangs over the inner apron alot. You shouldn't need to strengthen anything really. I just mocked mine up drilled my pilot holes took it off then drilled out the holes in the radiator support. Then welded away if you set the welder just right shouldnt need to do much if any griding clean welding surface in key. Good luck

Cool thanks this may sound bad but where are the places to weld the bottom frame and apron? Iam going to have a friend weld it I may be a engine builder but not a good welder. Is there a kind of welding he needs to do? He did the aprons for me and they came out nice so thinking he must know what he doing but thought I would ask for my self as welding is a trade I need to keep working on.

Im not sure on the bottom of the apron its been a wile and i never really replace the front brace just usually the core support, but it think their is a flange where the radiator will sit thats one of the places you weld, pretty much where ever their is a flange to weld on. Nothing special on welding if he did the aprons then he can do this.

I didn't have any issues getting my core support in. I mocked it up, then removed it to punch some spot weld holes with a sheet metal punch. After that I clamped it into place and started welding. Pretty straight forward.
