Default Paint Choices...

Hey guys (and gals), I have narrowed my paint choices down to two. Metallic Silver, and Metallic Grey. I love both colors, but am having a tough time deciding on which one would look the best on my car. My car has a black vinyl roof on it so I want something that will go well with it. Please take a second and let me know what you like the best.

Thanks!!

I think with the black roof, the silver would be more of a contrast vs. the darker grey. Maybe do some sort of custom stripping with the darker grey.

I was thinking the same thing zmetal. I love the metallic grey, but I think the silver would look better with the black roof.
That's why I wanted everyones opinion.

It would help to know what direction you're headed with the mustang. The only way I see the Charcoal flying is with a body kit and I would most likely off the vinyl top. Light silver would look nice with the vinyl if you want an OEM appeal, but it looks like the car was factory red. Knowing that most of the red Mustangs on the road are color changes, If I had a factory red one I might stick with it for resale value.

Although I voted for the darker grey, after reading your post I think you're right.

Nice CXR! What color is that?
Gconnsr - I am going back mostly stock with it. (Or stock looking) I am not a big fan of vinyl tops, but this one looks like it's fairly new so I have decided to keep it. I was a little scared of rust at first, but I pealed up the edges in several spots and everything is nice and rust free. I doubt this car will ever see rain, unless I get caught in it, and another plus is it's one part of the car I won't have to do bodywork and paint on!

What color will the interior be? If you keep the interior red the silver would look great

I hear you, I did a 67 Cougar a while back with a vinyl top and saved a ton of time with prep and paint.
