Default Pulling the motor

Again, please forgive me for being a nub, but where do you attach the engine crane when pulling the motor? I know this is probably a no brainer, but I work mostly on european cars. Thanks!

Since I can't figure out how to edit a post, this is a 1970 Mach 1 H code.

you can do what mike says or you can use a couple of brackets, attach one to the front header somewhere and the back to a transmission bolt but make sure your doing it diagnally though.

I use a load leveler which looks like this http://www.amazon.com/4000-Leveler-E.../dp/B001P5UWUW i bolt it on the intake bolts on the 4 corners. Its great if your pulling the engine and trans together or engine by yourself.

+1 on the load leveler. Makes going back in a lot easier too.

Can you use a carb lift plate on an aluminum intake to lift the engine?

If you have a welder and $5 worth of 1/8" plate you can whip up a plate to fit the manifold in no time.

An aluminum maniflld should be more than strong enough, even the imported re-pops should be good enough.
