Default Anyone know about engines?

I came across this engine. I'd like to know more about it. I've got some info but I'd like to know horse power or torque. Is it a good engine or does it have a bad rep., etc.
What I know:
Block:C9VE-B
Which is a 1969, Lincoln, engineering version, dash engineering? Whatever "engineering" means.
Heads:C8VE-E
Which is a 1968, Lincoln, engineering version, dash engineering. Again, whatever "engineering" means.

It's forty over and the numbers on the cam says it's a Comp Cam .514/.524 lift and .262/.270 duration.

The holes going in and coming out of the heads look big. I'm thinking that's good. So what do think? Is this a good engine?

The owner took some pictures for me, if that helps. Here they are.

It looks like a 429/460 block. Here is some more info on it:

Yep, 429/460, if it is still stock, it will likely be a 429.

Why would it not fit in a '65? Are the headers going to hit? Or would the shock towers have to come out all together?

All of what you all said matches with what we suspected it was. Which is a 429 with a 460 crank and bored forty over. If I don't confiscate this engine for a Mustang project of some kind it's going to end up in a work truck. And nobody wants to see that happen. Right?!

shock towers have to come out all together.for a 460 to be installed in a 65.not worth cutting up a good car just to install this motor.you'd be better off building a 347 and installing this in a truck

You want to upgrade your suspension, right?? Why not go with Rod and Custom Mustang II style suspension and lose the shock towers all together. That should give you the room to lay that baby right down in there.
