so i had to replace my spring perch. when i took off my shock i noticed something a little unusual...i think. i was wondering, when u compress the shock is it suppose to stay compressed in? thats exactly what mine did. I held it up on the floor and compressed the shock down thinking when i let go it would release back out, but it just stayed down. is this normal or is it blown?

 

That is normal. Only a gas shock will come back out.
