clutch's
I was wondering if there is much difference between a 10 and a 10 1\2 inch clutch. I have more or less a stock 289 and plan on keeping it that way.

A good 10 inch like a centerforce dual friction would be more than enough for even a built 289...
|
10.5 has more area for contact, so they hold better. But, they're also heavier. And yes, a good 10" is more than enough for a built 289.

does anyone know where to get a 10" flywheel from. I have a clutch already. Thanks.
|
10" clutch flywheel is standard stock cast iron. If you're going to be turning rpm though, it's a good idea to go with a steel flywheel though, and a scattershield....better to be safe than loose your feet.

Anyone have the 10" flywheel in there car. Also, anyone know where I can buy one. Thanks.

I have the centerforce dual f on mine and imo its a bit much for reg street driving. Starting from a dead stop its tough to blend. The harder you drive the smoother it is.
|
I have the C7ZZ style 289HP/BOSS 302 10.5" clutch, which is semi-centrifugal, which means the levers on the pressure plate actually increase gripping power when rpm increases. Works extremely well.
