new valve spring question

Sounds like you didn't get what you ordered. It sounds like you got dual springs when the part you ordered is a single spring. Call Comp.

Did you order specific springs for a specific cam?

I had a guy I use order a rebuild kit using specs from cam, crank, etc. they should be right ones, guy is pretty reliable, but I'm gonna double check to be sir.

inner spring is common on roller lifters and aggressive flat tappets to make sure valves don't get ADD.
do u have roller?

Bad case of ADD.
Single Outer Valve Spring O.D. 1.437", I.D. 1.039", Seat load 115lbs 1.700", Open load 284lbs 1.200", Coil bind 1.125", Rate 339lbs/in, With damper

Its not roller cam, but got roller rockers.

Make sure you don't use inner spring while breaking in a flat tappet cam.

Don't use good headers while doing flat tappet break in.

Don't use them at all until you figure out what they are. 942-16 is what he said they were, these are not dual springs.

Thank you all for your advice, but i have gotten the part number wrong on the springs, the comp springs part # is 927-16 and my Comp Cam camshaft # is 31-414-3, are these two compatible with each other, i know it says that the springs aren't recommended with the cam on compcams but can i still use them?
