Default Cowl Cover

Would it hurt the car to leave the cowl cover that I recently purchased on the car all the time to keep water out?

I can't see how, unless your paint is really fresh.

I don't think it would, but over time that area might/possibly discolor over time?

the foam will stick to your paint and could start to discolor it.My neighbors did that.

Well since it sounds like it's safe to drive with it on, I will only put it on when I go for rides. Thanks Guys!

Why would you put it on when you go for rides? Its mainly to be used when the car is parked.

I have one and used it at a few of my friends houses when the leaves are falling alot, and for the few times that it had to sit outside in the rain.

The cowl has drain holes to it but over the years leafs and dirt will clog them up and that's how they rust out.

I wouldn't leave one on for extended periods of time either, just to avoid any possible paint problems.
