Question Speedo Repair

Anybody got a source for speedo repair? My original speedo has given up the ghost. I put a new cable on and the needle bounced around until about 30 mph, then stabliized. After a few days it stopped working all together. All I get now is a whining noise that changes with the engine speed, and the needle doesn't move at all.

I think it would be cheaper to buy a cluster off of eBay.

I think the general concesus is that you just buy a new one but if you want to take it apart it's full of magnets and junk. It really sounds like your new cable maybe is shot. Pull it back out of the speedo and make sure that the cable end is not frayed where it enters the speedo.

Check out this like. Mustang Monthly did a step by step on a 68. TomToms dont belong in classic mustangs unless you are taking your baby across the map.

I've got a contact at work that can probably do something with it. United Speedo, I believe.
