Default Need some info about trim

I just found the door tag for my 1965 mustang project car.

It reads X as the color 'vintage burgundy metalic' and 26 for the trim code and that translates to:

Black Crinkle Vinyl, Standard Interior

Does the Black Crinkle Vinyl refer to the vinyl roof covering that some mustangs had (Not sure of the 65 had it as an option or not) or does it simple refer to the material used for the interior.

Also, if it does refer to the roof of the car was the roof designed any different or was it simply glued on to the stock roof? Ideally I do not want to put it back on the car even if it was there at some point.

Thanks....

Phil

Great!! That was the answer I was hoping for.

If I decide not to paint this car burgundy does it do anything to the value of the car?

Sorry about the mis-step here. I deleted my own reply. Anyway, the black crinkle vinyl is an interior thing, and has nothing to do with a vinyl roof. As far as staying concours with the original burgandy paint, it depends on a lot of things. If you plan to show it and expect to win a concours prize,. then the VIN needs two match the color. If not, then paint the dang thing any color you wish. 99% of the folks who buy these old cars don't have any idea as to what color they are supposed to be. So, the re-sale value won't take a dip unless you have a smart-alec like me who is buying it.
