Sound deadener kit, insulation, undercoating?
I also like the idea of bed liners spray on's...might look into that option as well...thanks.
I just bought one roll to see how it works. You can sort of see how much coverage I got from it. I am thinking I will need at least two more to finish the floor. If you wanted to do the trunk area I would say at least one more roll for it. You get around 12 square feet per roll.
The tape is just some "metalized" duct tape. I'll get the brand off of it when I get home this evening. I think it was around eight dollars for the roll, but there is more than enough to do the whole car.

I'm getting lazy i have done the peal and stick type in a few cars,But spraying something on is a lot faster and less time bent over or on your hands and knees. The plus with the truck bedliner its water proof and easier to put on.
I "think" I got 6 rolls? It was $90 at about $15 per roll and I have 1 left over. Buy 5 and you should do fine. I didn't do any doubling or anything fancy, but I did cover a considerable area including higher than the carpet up the firewall plus covering access holes in the sidewalls. Trunk rails and under all seats included.
It's nearing 100° here and I've yet to even notice a smell from it. I didn't use any tape for lapping, either.

You are right. This place does rock. I also would never have thought of looking at Lowes for undercarpet insulation. Now I know where I will be getting mine when I am ready. Now I know what to get with the two Lowes gift cards I now have.
I know several people who have used peel and seal with great success but let me toss an idea in here. Peel and Seal has a 45 mill thickness. For $16.42 you get a 6"x25' roll. 8 rolls equals 100 sq. ft. at $131.36 (plus tax assuming you are purchasing at your local store).
FatMat (50 mill thickness) can be purchased for $124.99 with free shipping (no tax assuming you are ordering from either Ohio or PA) in 100 sq. ft. and you get a free wodden roller.
