Glen and I have been having a big discussion about electric fans. They add a little bit of Hp. If you got the point system, toss it, and buy the pertronix ignitor system. you can buy 1 or 2. I bought the 2 with Flamethrower2 coil. YOur already getting a 4 barrel and intake. Heads, give alot of HP, but thats getting into the engine alittle bit for you. They have different pully systems that add HP, but i wouldn't recommend that, because you lose cooling and charging power.

You could add some nice headers and an "X" pipe to give you more HP. Anything to help her breathe better such as an aluminum intake such as a Weiand and an Autolite 4100 carb. Put in some 411 gears in the rear. Use premium gas. Let some air out of your rear tires to maybe 24 psi. With that set-up, your old man would be eating your dust. Without any of these changes, and you run a stock 289 2v, your old man would most likely whip ya.....
