Hello,
I am trying to replace a center console on my mustang. Unfortunately it looks like nobody makes this part and it needs to be cut to spec due to the fact that there is an A/C box at the end of it. All of the consoles seem to curve up towards the front but the AC gets in the way.
Has anybody with this car come across this issue? Do you just cut the other version or is there a place that makes the part?
I have a 66 convertible mustang with A/C and Auto Trans

I was also wondering...as I am restoring...to keep the best value would you recommend having somebody try to repaint items or buy repo parts?
For things like glove box door and center console, they usually have good quality repo parts that I have been going with, but now I am thinking maybe I should be looking into having these items repainted instead?

I don't think they remake the ac ones but http://www.mustangbarn.com/ should have it used.If not you could get a hump hugger they make a nice one with 2 cup holders.
