Default Parking brake adjustment

Is there any easy way to adjust the parking brake on a 65 mustang?

On mine, you have to yank the handle all the way out, to the last click possible, or the car will roll on just a slight incline (<10 degrees). I feel like something is going to break someday with having to yank so hard, or eventually the final click won't keep it from rolling.

But the regular brakes work quite well. Maybe it's supposed to be this tight - I am not sure.

What do you guys think?

Well I don't know about you, but mine's a manual so it's easier to have it idle in the driveway for short periods of time if it has a parking brake :P

Mines a manual too, 5 speed. Mine is relatively flat, but if it moves I just go to the curb and let it run there.

When I swapped over from 4 lug to 5 the rear end had different length cables than the 4 lug one. I didn't feel like swapping them over, so we just cut them and took the parking brake off.

Have you ever been under your car?

Did you ever notice the e-brake cable goes to a Y connector and splits into two cables through a really long threaded rod? You know? Adjustable rod? With lots of threads? On the e-brake cable? At the point where it splits to go to each wheel? Ever?
