Default Lights

Has anyone on here replaced their lights with LEDs? I'm looking at replacing all of my lights except headlight with LED lights. Eventually I'll replace my headlights with HIDs or something.

The headlights should be a high priority if you drive quickly at night. It's easy to outrun the old lights, and the lighting system design stinks. Think cheap.

I installed this setup two years ago and I am tickled pink with the result. It's a quality product that delivers.

Fastest I go is 70, but i want bright lights. My turn signal lights suck bit time so I figured its time to upgrade everything. Headlights aren't that great either and I definitely want to see what's coming up.

I went to NPD Charlotte, NC and bought the blinker and rear (sequential) set up. I was told that I had to do the upgrade before I shipped my car to Hawaii anyways.

The front LED blinkers were acting weird after I put them in, they would both blink for a left or right turn, so I put old bulbs back in….but the rear sequential LED blinkers absolutely rock! For five years I was worried about being re-ended because of someone not being able to see my feeble brake lights and I toyed at the idea of putting in a third brake light but that all changed after installation.

The LED brake lights (sequential at that) rock! I laugh now when I get behind an old Mustang (like on a cruise or something) and see how low light the original brake lights are. They are brighter by a certain factor, take up less juice and produce less heat. It’s a win all around.

Good luck.

Oh and for the head lights, I got bright new ones as well from NPD. Called Tri-Bar Halogen, I had to install a new headlight switch promptly afterwards. It was real nice being able to see at night.

I hopefully will be doing this soon. I was going to use the money I got from selling my xbox, but I ended up buying an aluminum 2 row radiator for a BB. Shouldn't have a problem cooling the 302 now.

Going from a wimpy 19" core to a 24" core.

The headlight kit I linked to eliminates the current flow through the lightswitch with wiring and two dedicated relays, one for the low beams and one for the hi beams.

I hear you! I droped a wad on the kit from Summit with the dual fans, probably about the best thing that I have ever bought for my car. Sitting at a red light with out worry of over heat and checking out people checking out your car = money.
