Default bad bad news....

so i think i solved my engine not turning over problem, its most likely the TC not being seated correctly, it was a real bitch getting the tranny mated to the engine, at this point im just hoping i didnt destroy my transmission.

should i install the TC into the transmission first, make sure its fully seated then mate it to the engine?

yes...you spin the torque converter when installing it...you will hear it click and push back a couple times with a c4 more with an AOD etc...if you dont do this then install the tranny you can crush the front pump...

would i be able to replace the pump itself or is the transmission scrap if its crushed?

you can replace components fairly easily in a c4 transmission

Don't worry about it yet, chances are the pump is ok.... I have seen this done a few times and never saw a pump ruined yet....

ALWAYS install the TQ on the tranny before installation......

When you take the trannyh out, check the flexplate for straightness. I'd be more worried about it than the pump.
