Default Another EFI thread

Yes, I have succumbed to the dark side!!

Actually, the engine setup is just so persnickity that the carb is proving to be a total pia to tune(still). And since I have ZERO time to get things done, I dropped the bones for the FAST EZ-EFI TBI setup....rather than spend my time tuning, let the software do it for me.

Kit and pump/harness are on the way. I didn't get their plumbing kit, and am instead setting up 3/8 hard line on the chassis with stainless braided Teflon lines, all Aeroquip and Aermotive stuff(except the hard line, got it from NAPA). Fittings are of course expensive, but the Aeromotive filters are really expensive. FAST regulator.

Opted for the in-line pump setup and am gonna use the RMP EFI tank sending unit for the feed/return.

Might keep the carb for a race car later, might sell it, who knows.

Just ordered the fuel system(except the pump coming from FAST).

Almost $750 worth of plumbing =\

Aeroquip fittings and stainless braided Teflon hose, some Russel fittings(stuff Aeroquip didn't have), and a few Aeromotive fittings and Aeromotive filters. Fittings, lines, then add in the pump, fuel system is about $1,000 which is pretty typical of a high performance street fuel system with that kind of setup. That stuff is expensive but very high quality, so I won't ever have to worry about it on a track and the hose will never need replacing.

The fuel system will have exactly 0 rubber in it. It was about $230 just for the Aeromotive pre and post filters.

Basically I built a minimal maintenance, bulletproof 600-650hp fuel system.

I used Russell braided lines from the tank to the motor (and back) and they've been on my car for 3 years, 2 running E85 and no signs of problems. They're not Teflon coated but are rated for alcohol.

67m302: congratulations ... plenty of pics please. I was wondering if I go that road in a years time or so. It's good to read when others do it. I did not know that there's flue senders that already have a return line. can you post links to parts? I've always seen those aeromotive fuel filters in summiot catalogue, but really don't know what justifies their price

Thought about that myself. Think of the LS as the best Ford motor Chevy built.
