I love my 69 but you cannot go wrong with either a 67 or 68. There are a ton of aftermarket parts available for the years and if you plan on restomodding or just restoring one to stock either would be great options.

If I had the money my mechanic has a 67 GTA Fastback in his shop I would by myself.

They make a way that you can buy a brand new frame and all the body that has serial issued from ford...has anyone tried or considered this, I was wanting to do it this way so there was zero rust and so I could build it from the ground up. Or does anyone know where one reasonable is, I've looked at the 69s and like them but I like how the 67 is that medium size and not so big and as boxy

The 69 and 70s do have some very expensive models when you consider the boss and CJ models..The 69s are a little more "muscular" looking in my opinion.
'69 and '70 fastbacks seem a lot more expensive here in GA than earlier year fastbacks, unless you come across a deal or something. But it seems the opposite with coupes, and I can see why. I don't like the '69+ coupes as much.

And I agree that the '69 fastback does look more "muscular". It's my favorite looking mustang, and I wish I could have afforded one...

if you have 15k sitting around for just the body then go for it. its cheaper to buy a old one, strip it, and "de rust it". though it does take time.

The Shelby hoods were different for a 67 and 68.

Also, 71k fastbacks were made in 1967 and 42k fastbacks made in 68...fyi. To compare with 132k fastbacks made in 1969 and 87k fastbacks made in 1970*.

Its a unibody car there is no frame and the dynacorn bodies don't come with a vin at all.
