Default Time to say Hello!

I have been lurking for a few weeks now and learning a lot.

I am about to pull the trigger on a 1968 coupe. It has a GT40p crate motor with some other motor upgrades, an Art carr racing c4 tranny. It needs a face lift, but is pretty straight. Very MINOR rust. BUT it was an original I6. Still has the 4 lug drums.

The first thing I will do is the front end conversion from CSRP. I found an 8" rear for 150 bucks that will have to suffice for now as well. Besides the brake and suspension upgrades, what else do I need to do right away?

Good to be here!

Welcome....I am not sure on the 68s but I know the earlier cars had a different fuel line routing for the 6 vs 8 cylinder cars..The 6 banger cars had the fuel line entering at the rear of the engine compartment on the drivers side..This is potentially dangerous with the dual exhaust pipes/manifolds on a V8 engine..I would reroute the front portion of the fuel line so it follows the V8 lines and enters the engine compartment in front of the drivers side shock tower..

Great thought! Car is still not at home so I cannot check, however it has an electric fuel pump, so maybe it has already been re-routed.
