Default engine wiring

as posted in my other threads, I have a 68 I6 converted over to 302. The wiring is obviously I6, what do I need to change to properly wire up my V8 motor? Can I get just a V8 engine harness and replace the 6?

Awesome. Does it plug into the fuse box separately? is that the only harness in the engine bay besides the head light one?

What wiring is needed? I coverted to V8 and all I did was add length to a couple of wires.

Everything. Wouldnt it be cleaner to replace the whole harness? I also need the starter wired, alternator, and battery leads...

If you have the six harness you could re use it, just clean up the wrapping with some new stuff.

All of my wiring was in the correct location, except for temp and oil pressure. I did mod my harness and move my alternator to the drivers side and put my A/C compressor where the alternator went.

Hmm....Just thought a new one would be better than splicing, but then I could customize it more...

Its up to you, I did mine on a low budget and didn't see a reason to replace anything. However, mine is not a show car its a DD, so no one really ever sees the engine bay.

I would unwrap the old one, check for any cracks, take measurements, splice in new wire, re wrap and voila. New harnesses are pricey too.
