Default c4 Question

A friend of mine has a 1973 c4 just rebuilt with the correct bellhousing 2500 stall, manual valve body, and B&M shift kit for 400 dollars..he is selling it due to his child having leukemia...do you guys think this will be okay to run on the street ..I'm having a 289 rebuilt as we speak...or should I change out the manual valve body he also said the shift pattern was changed..my car is a 1965 fastback

The manual valve body is your preference if that is what you want for a driving style. It wont hurt it on the street. The 2500 stall would be ok but you will have to double check your cam to see if the 2500 matches up with it. 400 for a fresh rebuild sounds to me like a very good deal as long as the rebuild was a quality one.

The stock rebuild on my c4 was 350, with a new front pump and other small things. 400 is a great deal.
