"OCHOHILL" is right. For a very few more bucks (roller spring perches and drill bit) you can do these mods and have a great driving car. The labor is pretty intense to change the suspension as compared to the offset in cost. Also, get a good alignment after the change.

Im just going to replace the upper ball joints for now. That will at least get me on the road safely.

I might already have the 620's on there cause she sits pretty low already. I will look into the UCA drop later.

I just want to drive it so I can start diagnosing issues! 40$ fix for now aint a bad start!

Thanks for all the info.

To do it correctly is more than $40. Each time a part is changed an alignment should be done. That is one reason most do it all at once. Not performing an alignment could lead to uneven tire wear and poor handling.

I never thought of that. Maybe I will just do it all at once.
The stock replacement kits all come with riveted ball joints. Is this ok? If I need to replace them later would I just drill them out?

I already ordered my Shelby drop drill bit and template!

riveted ball joints aren't a big problem. A lot of companies use rivets instead of actual bolts/nuts to save pennies, but it's easy enough to drill the rivets if you need to. Personally I've never had a problem with it.

I can upgrade to the roller perches later. I tried to swap to them in the kit but they dont offer them.
