Default fltwheel question

ok i need a 28 oz flywheel going on my 347 running t5 with old stile bell
so i need 28 oz with 157 teeth is this correct?

yes you need a 28 ounce with 157 teeth

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but if you use the late model bellhousing do you need a 164 tooth?

I have a 92 t5 with a 92 bell and i am using a 157 tooth 28 OZ

I used a fox mustang flywheel, I just spent $70 to get it reblalanced to 28oz...

Thanks that's what I needed to know. I have been looking for a fox flywheel but nothing yet.

Even new, with the added costs of machining the price was lower than a specialized flywheel for the swap. At least it was when I was sorting this out.

If the 347 was produced using the older 302 style crank, then the 28 oz flywheel would be correct. If the 347 is running the later 5.0 lightweight crank, then you will need the 50 oz flywheel. If you have the old style bellhousing for an 11" clutch, then you will need a 164 tooth 11" flywheel. If you are using any of a number of 10" bellhousings, then the 157 th flywheel is what you need. Really gotta know what the original motor was.
