Camshaft
70 Mustang running 351C-4V thinking about going to a different cam, with .509 lift, int dur 276, exh dur 286. Currently automatic with stock converter, daul exhaust, dont like headers, 9" 3.0 rear, offy intake with holley 730. Mostly street. Anybody else running this setup, any suggestions.

What's the duration at .050?...Since you don't like headers, don't have a stall convertor and a 3:1 gear I wouldn't get too crazy with the camshaft or you will have a dog on your hands...Especially with a big carb and single plane intake.

I have a 351c and am wondering why you don't like headers? Is it just one brand that you tried and didn't like or do you not like any headers with your cleveland?
I'll be watching this thread with interest as I will be upgrading my cam soon and am interested to hear what others recommend.

With your 4V heads, (which will make too much cam even worse), the car will be a downer of a street car.

Ok lets throw a wrench in the mix. I could also go with 2V heads. I have both set ups. I have always been told the better an engine can breath the better it will run, so the 4V heads. My final result is as much HP and torque I can get using the setup I have. Street some strip, roadtrips to Gatlinburg,Tn.
