Default Carburetor ?

I kind of feel like an idiot for asking this but I'm not sure what exact model of Carburetor I have. Is there any way of checking? Maybe some of the expert on here can help me out!

Looks like that says 1405, so edelbrock 1405 which I believe is a 600 cfm carb with manual choke.

Or its 1406 which is same as above except it has electric choke.

Like 1slow67 said,
1405= 600cfm manual choke
Or
1406= 600cfm electric choke

Looks to me like it has no choke setup. You can add either one if you want. Or leave it alone if it runs good.

BTW, that is a good setup for a stock motor.

I have a 302. Would you recommend that I add a choke? I need a rebuild kit. Where can I find one?

Your local Oh Really? should have one, so should NAPA (No Auto Parts Available) and if you dare..your local Autozoo. Summit racing online would have them as well.

Adding a choke would be a good idea if temps ever get below 60F where you live. I have manual choke and I think its super awesome!

ps...looks like you already have a choke...alls you gotta do is run a cable to the dash. IF you cant stand that idea then you could get an auto choke setup for it.

It looks like it has a choke butterfly. There must be a choke on it right? Not sure they made them without any choke at all.

I bought a 1405 used and added an electric choke for about $75. The 1477 kit is supposed to be the rebuild kit for that series.
