Default 1967 no power

1967 coupe, 289, 4spd toploader

I have no power. the battery reads 12.05. all my grounds are perfectly clean. all wires are installed correctly. It wont crank, no lights at all - even though for a brief amount of time (10seconds) i was able to get my headlights on one time.

I try to jump it from +terminal on battery to S terminal on solenoid/relay. just 1 loud click. replaced the solenoid/relay - same result.

i hit the starter with a hammer to hopefullly free it up, didnt help.

engine definitely turns over.

What should I do next?

Take the starter out and jump it. If not the starter then I have no clue!!

Put jumper cables on the battery and use another car to charge it up a few minutes, then try jumping it again. Sometimes the battery just doesnt have quite enough charge. 12.5 good, but give it a shot anyway.

Sounds like you aren't getting power from your ignition switch or fuse box. Starter could also be bad.

i know the starter is good and no catching a tooth.... anything else? ignition switch was replaced not too long ago. Where is the fuse box? are you talking about the one in the car or in the engine bay? and where are they just to be sure?

battery reads 12.05v when cranking or when you are physically putting a meter on it and then an unknown voltage when you walk around, sit in car, and turn key?

It's in the car under the dash near the gas pedal
