What is the 1/4 mile times for a stock 66' 289 fastback? Thanks!

I dont even own that car...I wish! Anyone have there 1/4 miles times for a 289 engine thats built for racing? Thanks

You first asked for a stock 289 figures, now you are asking for a racing 289 engine figures. It is obvious you don't even know what information you are asking for. Whenever you get enough information to ask a question regarding racing 289's, then please post again.

To be honest, there are so many variables at stake here, not just the engine components.

A stock mustang with a 4 barrel carb and good ignition could do about 15 or 16.

As for racing, it's pretty much limitless, you could do 9's or 10's if you really really wanted to. (and had the money too)

i think the differnce between the a 225hp 289 with a 4speed is somethin like a second or more faster than than one with a 3 speed auto
