Default How much hp

Hi everyone.
I am about to fit an edelbrock performer 500 cfm carb with a matching edelbrock intake manifold and fuel pump. The engine was fully rebuilt by the previous owner about 500 miles ago along with long tube headers.

what kind of hp output can i expect from this set up.

i think that during the rebuild the internals of the engine were replaced with stock replacements. what kind of hp will these withstand.

cheers guys

maybe 200 HP at the flywheel or so (your essentially a A code engine without a cam)

not sure how much the 289 differed between 66 and 67 but in 67 it was rated at 200hp, now ford had a tendency to lower their numbers for a variety of reasons, assuming a good rebuild, that included port matching of the heads, with LT headers a bigger carb, new intake and fuel pump id say maybe 220-240.
