Default 8.8 question

will a 8.8 out of a 94 mustang be the wright with for a 70 mustang?

Yes, 70 Mustang is 59.25 inches, 94 is 58.5.

But you have to cut all the mounting tabs off the housing then weld on spring perches.If you have a 8 inch now i would keep it its a better rear end then the 8.8 to me.If your scared of breaking a 8 inch its harder then most say and a 8.8 will break about the same point.

i know the 8 inch is good i know ill never break it. i looking for the limited slip and gearing. i would like to be about 3.25 it so mush cheeper to go 8.8 i can do the fab work myself.

the sn95 rear will net you disc's in the rear too...if you search around junkyards find yourself a rear from a turbo tbird they have 3.55 gears in the manual cars and 3.73 gears in the auto cars.(3.73s also come in Diesel Lincoln Mark 7's with 5 lug axles but they are pretty rare)..then get the 5 lug and disc axles from a 94-95 mustangs and youll have the same track width as the tbird rear with the proper axle bolt pattern

ok so far found the 94 8.8 308 in that one and a2004 8.8 with 327 both out of mustangs 150.00 ea
