your getting voltage sag because of high resistance or bad battery.

Do try running an engine ground

 

Yup, its Eli.da deffinatly like a bad ground.... Clean every connection again. And ground the block.

 

Will do guys thanks. Its not a bad battery though, im using the battery off of our jeep daily driver.

 

Okay guys, Im seriously getting fed up with this issue. It is the LAST thing I need to figure out before I can hear this beast run! I relocated the ground to the head, I took sand paper and wire brush to bare metal. I know the ground is good.

I still only get 6-7 volts to the starter side of the solenoid. AND when I jump the battery hot to the starter side of the solenoid I get a spark and the wire gets hot. If I hole the cable there for a few seconds i hear the starter spin but not pop out.

PLEASE lets figure this out. Im at a loss...

 

you should put a battery in the car i think not haveing a battery in the car and using cheap jumpers is giving you trouble

 

You are exactly correct!! I went and got a new battery today and she fired up no problem!!
