I want to paint my 69 coupe presidential blue as the base coat but im not to sure if i want a couple stripes running down the center.
What are your opinions, I think the stripes look good on the hood but alright on the rear of the car.

 

stripes would look pretty nice. I plan on adding white stripes to my red paint job. They do cost a good bit of money though!

 

Yeah, remember though that when you paint stripes, the spacing between the stripes on the top of the car is different than on the hood and rear. If theyre the same, they will look too close together on the top.

 

ya, i have a 65 coupe and my dad and i are painting it red. i duunno if stripes would look good or not. maybe just on the hood. i dunno if they would look good on the rear.

 

How about a Boss or Mach 1 Treatment? The stripes may make an all ready long and narrow style look even longer and narrower.

Have you tried to photoshop it to see what it looks like?

 

I'm a huge fan of stripes, nothing looks sexier than an old school 'stang with white stripes on a blue/red/black car. Well, except a Saleen

 

Eventhough we have two diffrent body styles, I say def go with the stripes!

 

Im sorry this is off topic,but Dan How does your car sound? Is it pretty loud? I ask this because you have the exact same exhaust setup that i want. NO difference at all.

 

stripes on presidential blue is tuff...i think if you where to but stripes on that color i would go with silver stripes...

 

I'm a no stripes person mainly because I get tired of seeing every muscle car with them... when I get around to painting my stang ill probable do a metallic black I think that with the chrome would look AWESOME!!!
