Default E85 conversion

Hey, Ive been reading up on this E85 (ethanol) gas and it sounds pretty good.
E85 a little bit cheaper (about $.10 cheaper) than regular gas.
1.4 gallons of E85 is the equivalent of 1 gallon of regular gas.
The links never told how much but it says that E85 gets higher octane.

E85 is a renewable fuel source.
so eventually gas will cost so much to refine and sell that ethanol will be considerably cheaper and ethanol will still cost the same because you grow everything... correct?
So my question is what will it take to convert my car (289 2v carburetor) to run off of ethanol?
other than cleaning out my whole system would I have to do anything to the timing or the carburetor to make it run off of ethanol?
has anyone done this to there car yet?

Good qustion. According to this scientist, very little would have to be changed to mix ethanol with gasoline. But, what changes that would have to be is the question. As an additive, I think I would try it on an old lawn mower or something before I tried it in my Mustang.
