Default disc brake spindle

I have a complete disc brake and spindle setup off of a 71 Mustang D1ZA3107AA and was curious if it would fit on my 65 Falcon V8. I also wondered if it might fit my 65 Mustang 6 banger, both have manual steering. Thanks.

It will fit you just need to use the tie rod end from a 71 mustang tho.

the steering geometry will be off causeing bump steer. the 71 mustang is basicly a granada setup. if you have a v8 falcon you can get a 65 mustang oem brake kit and it will bolt right up.

as for the 6 cyl its the same deal as the v8 except the spindle pin is smaller so the oem v8 rotors will not fit on the spindle. the caliper brackets and splash shield will fit as it uses the same bolt pattern as the v8 drum spindles for 65-67. i have been able to get some harded steel bushings made that press into a set of 1970 mustang bearings that allow you to use the v8 rotors on a 6 cyl spindle. im still waiting on some parts to put the stuff on my mustang but it looks good so far!

Bump steer isn't a problem if you use the right tie rod ends like baer tracker or tcp ones.
