Default my new ride

Hey guys. so a little back story.. my daily driver was an 03 tacoma prerunner with the trd package and a nice camper shell on it. That got stolen thursday night from in front of where i live. Me being the smart guy that i am only had liability insurance on it so i got a total of 0 dollars to cover the theft. But oh well, water under the bridge.

So i just picked this up today, 1969 f100 with a 390 and c6. i wanted 4 on the floor but i couldnt pass this up. here are some pictures

The pros... no rust, straight body, new tires. trans shifts great, motor was rebuilt 20k miles ago, interior is decent.

the cons are minor but just things i need to adress.. no radio, no locking mechanism on passenger door, small oil leak (havnt checked from where yet), no rear view mirror, i dont like the small aftermarket steering wheel. also im getting a small vibration at highway speeds, im guessing its the u joints, ill check em this weekend. oh and no reserve gas tank, its missing for some reason.

but all and all im happy with my purchase of 2200$
this dd wont be as good on gas as my last but im used to that.

also keep an eye on cragslist for tacoma parts...use searchtempest and do a search for like say 100 miles from your area..also can keep an eye on somewhere like tacomaworld and see if stuff starts popping up

you say an f100 but i notice the 8lug wheels??????? Shouldnt it have 5 lug? gotta love the 390...

My 2006 ram2500 bit the dust after the 240k miles and the 4rth transmission in one year. So added a new ride to my stable as well..

my new ride-truckpic.jpg

So i am now a totally FORD family,

2012 Flex Limited
2012 powerstroke
1966 mustang

On another note, I just watched Fast & Loud and they redid a 68f100 with a 4.6 mod motor and a crown vic front subframe. It looked really nice.. I love the older ford trucks..

i saw that one! and on counting cars on the history channel they did a 72 i believe. those are my two favorite shows at the moment.

as far as i know the 8 lug is factory, it has the tow package though, dont know if that makes a difference.

after driving it all day i found the radiator is leaking, so either i buy a new one or just get this one to a radiator shop to fix it. also those dress up aluminum valve covers are leaking, im going to junk them and get the stock ones.
