Default Ford newbie with questions

Hello all:

Brand new to this forum. Familiar with cars, but a Ford noob. Thanks in advance for your help, have already found a lot of great info searching the site.

I have acquired an original 66 coupe with a 4V 289 (non K code) and auto trans (C-4?). Paint and interior are very rough but car has never been wrecked. I will be restoring it end to end for my wife, starting with the engine.

As part of the engine overhaul I plan to make some top end upgrades but for the most part the short block will be the stock parts with a minimum overbore to clean up the cylinders.

I plan to swap the current 3 speed auto to an automatic with overdrive (AOD?), and have the following questions:

1) For the stock '66 289 crank and block, what is the correct harmonic balancer to be used? 28 oz or?

2) For the change from a C-4 to an AOD trans, what is the correct flexplate? 164 tooth 28 oz imbalance type or ?

3) Does changing to a flexplate for the AOD trans change the harmonic balancer to be used? If yes, what balancer type is required?

Need to acquire the right balancer and flexplate so the machine shop can balance the rotating assembly.

Specific PNs for the correct balancer and flexplate are appreciated.

Paul

Should be 28oz balanced. The tooth count will depend on the transmission bellhouse.
