Body filler expanding?
I've got a long relationship with this guy. Been pretty good to work with - I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. I will ask him to fix right as craig71 mentioned and just see what he thinks is fair.
I'm not trying to sound like a jerk but if he painted over that i wouldn't let him touch my car again.A good body man would see a big filler spot and ask why is that there and see what's under it,A bad body man will just sand it and paint it over not my car not my problem. It could be he didn't know better i have seen some that can just paint not fix any problems that pop up.

Had car painted a couple years ago and found a spot where they did some filler work and Looked like they just missed smoothing down. Took back and painter fixed. Basically was told not sure how he missed but just sanded down and blended paint. That was late last year. Was waxing car yesterday and seen spot was raised again. Not bubbled but just like a spot expanded. Did not even break the paint. The original spot was not a rust area but car had dent that was filled prior to me buying it. Any idea on what could cause this and should I expect it to get worst. Bummed..
When I have paint problems, I go to autobody101 forum and post the problem. These guys are to paint & body, as we here, are to all things mechanical. The guys there have given me a world of learning. Not sure what you mean by "spot has raised again". Is the filler lifting of the body or the primer/painting lifting from the filler?
As was mentioned, move on as you will not get any satisfaction (remuneration) from the painter, unless you have a contract and warranty.
Good Luck!
shops will gurantee their work, that doesnt mean they will gurantee the materials used and will like push the blame to that since they have no control over that to some extent. Again, trying to prove that is impossible.
I had a bubble similar to that on the top of my 66. It eventually cracked (about 10 years after the paint job). When we took it in this year to have it painted my painter said that it looked like a little bit of some substance got on it and the paint didn't adhere correctly and that was why it bubbled up. There was no rust underneath and this was the only spot on the whole car that had any problem.
