Please help. Ive checked high and low in the block and there is nothing. Nothing in the pan as well. Nothing in timing cover as well. Where the heck could it be?

 

the block if a late model will have a snall hole on the left hand side where it would go..the timing cover you have might be late on an early block(which doesnt have a hole in the block) and the timing cover might need to be removed and a hole added
